Front Row Motorsports' Michael McDowell powered through a last-lap crash to win the Daytona 500.

The win was the first of his career and the first Daytona 500 victory for Ford Mustang.

McDowell and the other top Mustang contenders worked together during the event.

Team Penske's Joey Logano and Brad Keselowski were at the front with McDowell before crashing.

He slid through the melee to finish fourth.

SHR's Aric Almirola was leading at lap 15 when he was hit from behind and taken out of the race.

Almirola won one of Thursday's qualifying races for the Daytona 500.

Cindric kicked off his NASCAR Xfinity Series title defense with an OT win at Daytona.

Cindric, who held off two contenders on the final lap, led 28 laps on the day.

Cory Roper finished third in a wild, last-lap dash to the finish in the NASCAR Truck Series.

DGR's Todd Gilliland and Hailie Deegan both ran in the top 10 before crashes hurt their efforts.
