‘Warriors Moving Warriors’ Video Series Ends Today

When a colleague died of cancer, employees at Greenhouse Purchasing – part of Body and Exterior in Ford of Mexico – wanted to do something to support those living with cancer during these difficult times when people are confined to their homes due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Using bows, letters and ribbons, they created this image to help uplift others. The team also raised money to support the Susan G. Komen Foundation and the American Cancer Society.

Warriors in Pink
Throughout the month of October, Ford distributed face masks nationwide to breast imaging centers and other breast cancer facilities to help patients move safely through treatment. In metro Detroit, a Warriors in Pink-wrapped Transit supported the effort by making local deliveries to five local breast health locations.  To date, Ford has delivered a total of 713,640 masks nationally to breast cancer patients, including more than 173,000 to Metro Detroiters.

On Oct. 13, in honor of National Metastatic Breast Cancer Day, Ford Warriors in Pink lit up Ford Field and made a donation to Metavivor to support those in the fight against metastatic breast cancer.

Ford Warriors in Pink is dedicated to helping those touched by breast cancer, through actions that support, inspire and empower patients, survivors and co-survivors throughout their journey.  Over the past 26 years, Ford has dedicated more than $138 million to the cause.

Warriors in Pink has a line of apparel and accessories – including the 2020 Inspired by Hope Scarf with black, charcoal or pink shirt, the Blue Skies Water Bottle, Healing Hugs Pillow and Keep Warm & Carry On Blanket featured in this week’s video – that help raise awareness and funds for breast cancer, with 100 percent of the net proceeds from all apparel sales going to support transportation solutions for breast cancer patients in need.
