MADRID, Spain - This Ford GT is in Spain this week to perform the role of pace car at Ford’s 24 Hours charity endurance race which starts on July 6.
Now in its 15th year, the race is one of the most popular charity events in Spain, supporting a range of community-benefitting organisations. To stand a chance of winning, competitors must have the perfect strategy and fantastic eco-driving skills.
In 2018, Ford’s 24 Hours will distribute €116,000 among 12 participating NGOs to support a wide range of projects. Prior to this event, and as a kick-off of its visit to Spain, the Ford GT visited Ford of Spain’s NSC offices in Madrid, where the car was revealed by Jesús Alonso, Ford of Spain president and CEO.
As well as performing the role of pace car, the Ford GT will also be available for exclusive test drives with selected Spanish media.
