The highly-customizable 2018 Ford Mustang GT has been recognized by Wards Auto as one of the 10 best vehicles for user experience.
The award takes into consideration human-machine interaction, advanced driver-assist technology and user-friendliness, among other attributes.
Mustang’s available Active Valve Performance Exhaust System, which allows drivers to choose from normal, sport, track and quiet modes; and includes a time-configurable Quiet Start function, were noted by Wards in its review.
The new MyMode technology, which drivers can use to save their favorite suspension, steering and exhaust preferences, as well as Mustang’s new configurable, 12-inch LCD display, also drew praise.
“Ford provides more ways to set up the car than can be found in the menus of most digital racing games,” Wards noted.
The publication noted improvements in Mustang’s handling, interior, instrument cluster and display in its summary.
“I got more enjoyment from 30 minutes in the Mustang than from many (user experience) candidates I had for an entire weekend,” one Wards editor said.
The all-new Lincoln Navigator joined Mustang on the list of vehicles offering the best user experience. The publication previously named Navigator to its list of best vehicle interiors earlier this year.
Judges said Navigator “reflects a new height of American opulence” and lauded the hot-selling luxury SUV for its driver-assist technology offerings, as well as its entertainment system and plentiful device charging options.
