Ford Motor Company received the 2016 IHS Markit Automotive Loyalty Award for achieving the highest loyalty rate of all makes during the 2016 model year Tuesday evening during the Automotive News World Congress meeting held at the Marriott Hotel in Detroit.
The 2016 Automotive Loyalty Awards from business information provider IHS Markit were given out in 30 categories to automotive manufacturers and brands for superior customer retention and conquest efforts during the 2016 model year (October 2015 through September 2016).
“We are proud to recognize so many loyalty leaders in the automotive industry,” said Joe LaFeir, senior vice president, automotive, IHS Markit. “Our Automotive Loyalty Awards program highlights the ongoing successes of automakers and brands that continue to win back customers in this hyper-competitive environment.”
In addition to winning the award for Overall Loyalty to Make, Ford was honored for highest Ethnic Loyalty to Make among all ethnic groups combined – including African-Americans, Asians and Hispanics – and it led loyalty among African-American consumers.
The following vehicles were recognized with Segment Model Loyalty Awards:
· Lincoln MKX in the Luxury Mid-Size CUV Category
· Lincoln MKZ in the Luxury Traditional Compact Car Category
· Ford F-Series in the Non-Luxury Full-Size Three-Quarter to One-Ton Pickup Category
