Congratulations to Mason Klesel for earning his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, with a minor in Labor Relations, for Cleveland State University. While graduation is always a cause for celebration, Klesel’s graduation is the pinnacle of his 10-year journey.
In 2016, Klesel started as a TPT at Ohio Assembly Plant. He had taken classes at Lorain Community College, where he earned Associate’s Degrees in both Business Management and the Arts, but his dream of higher education always included getting his bachelor’s degree. However, financially, it did not seem viable- until, he was hired on full time at OHAP.
Klesel swiftly took advantage of Ford’s Employee Tuition Assistance Program (ETAP) and started attending classes at CSU. But it was not an easy road. He needed to take four classes a semester to accomplish his goals. So, Monday through Thursday he would rise at 5:00 AM to ready himself for his shift, work ten hours, and then head to the campus to take classes until 9:00 PM.
Klesel’s hard work paid off on May 9, 2020, when he achieved his dream of completing his bachelor’s degree. He celebrated with this picture of him in his cap and gown, outside Ohio Assembly Plant. “If it wasn’t for Ford’s ETAP, I would never have achieved my goal of higher education, while graduating with out debt. I owe everything to Ohio Assembly Plant and Ford Motor Company,” Klesel said.
Ohio Assembly Plant his proud not only of Klesel’s success, but of his Play to Win Attitude.
