PARIS, France – Ford Driving Skills for Life is accelerating its expansion through Europe, with another 500, 18-24 year-olds taking part in free training programmes in France in recent weeks.
Twelve training events were held at two locations - Lille and Sables d’Olonne – and all were fully subscribed.
Ford Driving Skills for Life provides free hands-on expert training to young drivers alongside a dedicated website that together cover the leading factors in young driver car accidents: hazard recognition, vehicle handling, speed/space management and distractions.
New for 2014, Ford Driving Skills for Life also includes demonstrations of Ford’s Active City Stop low-speed collision avoidance system, as well as covering off other driver assistance technologies.
Ford has pledged to put 5,000 18-24 year-old drivers through DSFL training in Europe before the end of 2014. This week training sessions were staged in Valencia, Spain, with more planned for Barcelona next week.
