DEARBORN - Hundreds of Ford Motor Credit Company employees in Dearborn, Michigan, stood and applauded as Chairman and CEO Mike Bannister officially welcomed an employee returning from a military deployment in Afghanistan. Erin Meadows, a Ford Credit legal assistant and U.S. Navy reservist, was recognized during the second-quarter employee meeting in July for service to her country and the company.
“The people of Ford Credit are the best, and their warm welcome – at the employee meeting and in my daily work – has been tremendously gratifying,” said Meadows, who spent more than a year in Afghanistan as a legal assistant for the U.S. Army. “It’s great to be back.”
Ford Veterans Network Group President Dan Duderstadt, corporate investigator, presented Meadows with a scale model Ford Mustang signed by Ford Executive Chairman Bill Ford and President and CEO Alan Mulally. “I’d like to thank her family at Ford Credit and at home for supporting Erin during her deployment,” Duderstadt said.
In addition, Bannister congratulated Meadows on her 10-year anniversary with Ford Credit, a milestone she reached in January while still in Afghanistan.
