 Peter Lawson Retires After 35 Years with Ford

South Africa — Peter Lawson, Vice President Operations, South Africa, has elected to retire from the Company.

Gary Johnson, Vice President of Manufacturing, Asia Pacific, Felix Guillen, Executive Director of Manufacturing & FPS, Asia Pacific and Jeffrey Nemeth, President and CEO, Ford Motor Company Southern Africa are making the following personnel announcement effective October 1, 2013:
 
Peter Lawson, Vice President Operations, South Africa, has elected to retire from the Company. Since joining Ford Australia as a graduate trainee in 1978, Peter has held a wide range of manufacturing positions including engineering, supervision, launch, new model programs as well as plant manager and vice president positions. Peter has traveled extensively during his career and held significant roles in Australia, North America and more recently South Africa. Peter has always demonstrated great enthusiasm and passion for the business and will be missed by the manufacturing operations and the other skill teams he has worked with during his time at Ford. 
 
We would like to take this opportunity to thank Peter for his significant contributions to the Company for over 35 years of service and wish Peter a healthy and happy retirement upon his return to Australia with his wife, Alison, and family.
 
Peter’s replacement will be the subject of a future announcement.
