Operation Good Cheer – Santa’s Helpers Needed

DATE: Will be calculated from "Release Start Date" field.

DEARBORN - Operation Good Cheer began 42 years ago when a group of Ford Motor Company employees in Dearborn donated gifts for 66 children in Michigan foster care facilities. Since then the program has grown to include thousands of children, and this year you can help us make more holiday dreams come true.

Please consider joining us by selecting one or more children from the Operation Good Cheer website (please note access to this website is available only inside the Ford firewall). You’ll be asked to purchase three or more items from each child’s Wish List, wrap the gifts into three packages and deliver them to the WHQ lobby the morning of Friday, Dec. 6. Individuals or groups can participate, and it’s even more fun when your friends and colleagues share the joy of giving during the holidays.

Non-Shoppers: If you don't have time to shop but would like to make a contribution, you may send a check made payable to Operation Good Cheer and the funds will be used by one of our volunteer shoppers to purchase Wish List gifts. Please contact Wendy Williamson (wwill127@ford.com, 313-322-3024) if you would like to donate.

Shoppers: We would provide you with a Wish List and funds and ask that you shop, wrap and deliver the gifts by Dec. 6. We do have a secure location to store gifts if you need to deliver them in advance of the gift collection day. Please contact Wendy Williamson (wwill127@ford.com, 313-322-3024) if you are interested in being a volunteer shopper.

Thank you to everyone who pitches in to make this event possible. Happy holidays!
