DEARBORN – This week, Ford President of Ford Motor Company Fund and Community Services Jim Vella announced the next Ford Accelerated Action Day to support children and families in southeast Michigan on March 14. Below is his letter to employees and retirees.
Ford employees are ready once again to deliver hope and caring in southeast Michigan. The Ford Volunteer Corps will Go Further in support of children and families with a Ford Accelerated Action Day on March 14.
Ford volunteers will go to work in shelters, missions and care centers identified as needing special attention by our nonprofit agency partners. We’ll be painting, building and creating a better world. It’s important and fulfilling work, and we hope you can help.
We invite all Ford salaried employees and retirees to join MODEL Teams and participate on Thursday, March 14.
To register for a project, please go to the Ford Volunteer Corps website at volunteer.ford.com and select MODEL Teams. Once you register, the event will be automatically added to your Outlook calendar.
The Ford Volunteer Corps also is sponsoring a Baby Formula and Diaper Drive from March 11 through March 15. Items will be collected at 15 Ford buildings in the Dearborn area, and donated to the Detroit Area Diaper Bank and Gleaners Community Food Bank. Diapers and formula are always at the top of the list of necessities for our agency partners, and each year generous Ford employees come through to make our drive a big success.
Come on out and give us a hand. Your community needs you! Register for a MODEL Teams project today.
