OAKVILLE - Today, Ford of Canada launches Ford Employee Pricing, one of its most popular campaigns now in its 9th year. The event gives customers the opportunity to purchase a Ford vehicle at the Ford employee price, yet the campaign itself doesn’t just feature breathtaking beauty shots of the outstanding Ford lineup, or demonstrations of innovative technology. Rather, it also shines the spotlight on a group considered the heart and soul of the brand – Ford of Canada team members. The campaign tells multigenerational Ford stories – about a father and his daughter, a niece and her uncle, a father and son, as well as two sisters, all of whom either currently work for Ford or who have retired from the company.
“The number of multigenerational Ford families is really inspiring,” said Jack Palazzolo, vice president, Marketing, Ford of Canada. “We focus on their relationships, their pride in working at Ford and Ford vehicle innovations through the generations.”
Reaching out through various channels, the Ford of Canada marketing team met families from Oakville and Montreal, and from across various parts of the company, including the Canadian headquarters, regional offices, manufacturing facilities and parts distribution centres.
Launching with TV, print, digital and social media components, the campaign also will feature extended length stories of Ford of Canada family members on blog.ford.ca, as well as Ford of Canada’s YouTube channel. Oakville Assembly’s own Greg Harding and his father, Bill Harding, will be featured as part of the print and digital portions of the campaign. They also will be featured on YouTube and on blog.ford.ca.
The campaign will kick-off with Dianne Craig, president and CEO, Ford of Canada, and her father Doug, a Ford retiree. Visit blog.ford.ca to hear Craig and her father talk about their time at Ford and their pride in the company.
“Ford Employee Pricing continues to be a favourite event with our customers because it’s so simple,” said Palazzolo. “To be able to connect with consumers and tell these stories – from our family to yours – is really exciting and uniquely Ford.”
