NANJING, CHINA - The week of March 24-28, 2014 at the Research and Engineering Center (REC), Nanjing, China, the 6-Sigma Master Black Belt (MBB) week one training was facilitated. Twelve Master Black Belt candidates from North America, South America, and AP participated in this event. Earlier MBB trainings were offered in the U.S. and Europe only. Considering the growth in AP and needs for MBBs, this training was offered in AP for the first time. The final week two MBB training will be held in Chennai, India, May 5-9, 2014.
In order to participate in this training many tasks have to happen first, for example MBB candidates have to be Black Belt certified, have five projects in the 6-Sigma Project Tracking System as the Lead Black Belt, pass an online exam, have at least three recommendation letters from management, prepare an evidence book and alignment letter and demonstrate leadership and technical/statistical skills.
Facilitators of this major event were subject matter experts (SMEs) in the different topics like: Quality Operating Systems (QOS), Global Quality Improvement Process (GQIP), Quality and Productivity Improvement Plan (QPIP), Balanced Single Agenda for Quality (BSAQ), Customer Information Review (Customer View Point (CVP)/Global Quality Research Survey (GQRS)), consumer driven CCC six panel, leadership and communication, presentation techniques, conflict management, political savvy and lean engineering.
