Gittin Jr. finished second, Pawlak fourth, in the final standings. Greg Biffle continues his charge up the standings with a fourth-place finish in Charlotte (NSC). Ricky Stenhouse Jr. suffered damage on the rear spoiler to cost him seven spots, but still registered a top-10 finish in Charlotte (NNS).

Tuesday, Oct. 10 - is the 111th Birthday of the Ford Racing program, the date Henry Ford raced his one and only race, and upset the greatest racer in America - Alexander Winton - in a 10-mile match at Grosse Pointe, Mich.   The victory earned Mr. Ford $1,000 and a cut-glass punch bowl, but more importantly, helped him attract the investors to start the Ford Motor Company in 1903. DEARBORN - NASCAR announced earlier today (July 30) that all four manufacturer submitted 2013 car models have been approved by the series to begin racing next season, and that the OEMs may now start building parts for those cars. The 2013 Ford Fusion, which was first unveiled in January of this year, was one of the four designs officially approved to go NASCAR racing beginning at the 2013 Daytona 500. Ford Racing Director Jamie Allison commented on what the approval means for Ford and the sport going forward.

DEARBORN - Weekend racing results for June 29 - July 1, 2012. Ken Block (silver medal) and Brian Deegan (bronze) led the Ford Fiestas at X Games 18 (GRC).John Force was the No.1 qualifier and Courtney Force reached the finals in Joliet (NHRA). Michael Annett (p4) and Ricky Stenhouse Jr. (p8) both finished in the top-10 in Kentucky (NNS). Matt Kenseth was the top Ford finisher at Kentucky in seventh (NSC). The No. 8 Starworks DP finished third at the Six Hours at the Glen (GRAND-AM).
