 Lincoln Partners with TED to Reach a Progressive Audience

WHISTLER, Canada - In March, The Lincoln Motor Company partnered with TED for the fourth consecutive year to provide an influential conquest audience with an in-depth look at how Lincoln is continuing to transform the brand through memorable personal experiences.
 
TED, which stands for Technology, Entertainment and Design, is comprised of a series of conferences to bring together the world’s leading thinkers and doers from a variety of backgrounds to carry the organization’s goal of creating “ideas worth spreading.”
 
Described by attendees as the “ultimate brain spa,” the talks have made California their home since 1990, with the main conference held in Long Beach and the live simulcast TEDActive in Palm Springs, but for the first time ever, they were held in Vancouver and Whistler, Canada, respectively.

As a sponsor of TEDActive, Lincoln capitalized on all the excitement surrounding the move to Whistler by providing attendees the chance to discover the city through a set of unexpected experiences at a variety of local hotspots. In association with the ski village locale, each Lincoln touch point focused on the theme Apres TED, or “after TED,” with programming dedicated to connecting the audience with the Lincoln brand pillars of Quality, Design and Personal Service.  
 
“Thought leadership is an important brand passion point for Lincoln,” said David Rivers, manager, Lincoln Marketing Communications. “The TED relationship provides a platform to share our brand reinvention story with some of the most influential members of our target audience. It allows us the ability to connect more personally with individuals who share our passion for design and innovation.”

By visiting the Lincoln House of Design, engaging with an on-site Lincoln Concierge or indulging in one of five custom events with local businesses, conference attendees experienced a level of personal service only Lincoln can offer, along with the chance to explore the latest innovations in Lincoln design through interaction with the 2015 Lincoln MKC and Lincoln Black Label.
 
Lincoln also worked with TED to support three visionary thinkers who are reimagining in the fields of art, design and thought leadership. The 2014 Lincoln Reimagine Project recipients debuted their work through interactive displays in the Lincoln House of Design at TEDActive and were featured in a branded content series on TED.com and on Lincoln Now and will remain for the duration of 2014.
