BRAMALEA, Ontario - Ford of Canada’s Bramalea Parts Distribution Centre (PDC) held an exciting electronics recycling drive program in celebration of Earth Day on Monday, April 22. Current employees and retirees were encouraged to bring in all old and unusable electronics from their home so that they could be disposed of in a manner undisruptive to the environment.
The program, initiated as a joint action between the CAW locals and management, was developed with the help of Target Recycling, the recycling partner of the Bramalea PCD for obsolete parts. Target Recycling is certified by the Ministry of the Environment to dismantle, destroy and dispose of electronic equipment in order to prevent it from entering a landfill where it could potentially cause harm to the environment.
