MADRID/VALENCIA, Spain – An employee Kuga Day was staged at Ford’s Madrid central office and the Almussafes plan in Valencia in Spain last month, coinciding Ford’s Kuga promotion at the UEFA Champions League Final in London. The event gave employees the opportunity to see and experience the new model’s design and technology.
Some 500 people took part, 400 at the Valencia plant and 100 in Madrid. Tailgate Lift, SYNC, Active Park Assist and Active City Stop were some of the new technologies displayed. These and other technologies were explained and demonstrated by experts: Rosa Gimenez and Juan Luis Latorre, from Valencia’s Quality Department, and Martha Henriquez, a Madrid-based marketing product specialist.
Employees commented that they found the event enjoyable and useful.
"I enjoyed testing all the Kuga technologies first hand,” said Érica Rodríguez Van Nood, Commercial Vehicles Division, Madrid. “Having the opportunity to try technologies that we’ve only met before on paper, in car brochures, was really useful. What a car and what a great day!"
That view was echoed by another Madrid employee, Alberto Fernández Chico, from Ford Credit IT: "The Kuga Day activities were really interesting and I think it would be good if the Company could continue organising such initiatives focused on employees, so we have the same opportunity that the customers have to better know our products and technologies. At the end of the day, we are the ‘face of Ford’ to our families, neighbours and friends.”
