Ford showcases competitive lineup at Vietnam Motor Show

HO CHI MINH CITY, Vietnam – Ford will command a powerful presence at the Vietnam Motor Show (VAMA), running from November 19-23, by showcasing its major nameplates alongside Ford's global small production concept car – the new Fiesta.

The new Fiesta is the first in a wave of stylish vehicles being brought to world-wide markets under the global ONE Ford plan.

“Ford Vietnam is proud to debut this production concept of the Ford global B-car to young and sophisticated consumers in Vietnam," said Michael Pease, general director, Ford Vietnam. ''New Fiesta expresses the bold and sexy characters of its owners who will be proud to drive and be seen driving this new model. Fiesta is the next chapter in our small car success story and builds on the widespread appeal of the Ford brand in ASEAN markets including Vietnam in the very near future."

Motor Show enthusiasts will notice the Fiesta’s seductive interior and a level of manufacturing quality that Vietnamese consumers may not be used to seeing in a small car of this type. It is an important new addition to Ford's core product portfolio globally, and a key driver for the future growth of Ford in the region.

Ford’s model range on show at the Vietnam Motor Show is positioned to satisfy the growing sophistication and knowledge of the modern Vietnamese consumer, who appreciates and seeks quality, style and affordability. On display alongside the new Fiesta will be the Ford Mondeo, Ford Focus TDCi, Ford Escape, and Ford Everest.

In addition, the modern and efficient Ranger – leader of the pick-up segment – is joining the event as a vehicle developed specifically for a wide range of buyers who want carrying capacity with efficient operating costs.

The product line-up at the Ford stand reinforces Ford's commitment to introducing its world-leading technologies and driving performance to Vietnamese consumers at affordable prices.

VAMA 2009 takes place at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Centre. Visitors to the Ford booth will experience Ford's full range of products, and learn more about Ford's services, including Driving Skills for Life.
