NANCHANG, China – A recent visit by Joe Hinrichs, president of Ford Asia Pacific and Africa, to Nanchang, Jiangxi Province, home of Jiangling Motors Corporation (JMC), helped to highlight Ford's commitment to further building upon the company's strong relationships in China.

From March 1-2, Hinrichs, accompanied by Robert Graziano, chairman and CEO, Ford Motor China, spent two days in Nanchang, where they met with JMC's senior executives, as well as provincial government leaders.

JMC Chairman Wang Xigao welcomed the Ford team to the JMC plant, where JMC President York Chen held a presentation on the company's business strategy and development. Following this, Hinrichs and Graziano toured the Transit Plant, Engine Plant, Light Truck Assembly Plant and Product Development Centre.

During the visit, Hinrichs observed the dedication JMC employees demonstrated towards their work, remarking that this dedication would lead them to even greater success in the future. The Ford executives also conveyed their support for JMC's future development.

While in Nanchang, Hinrichs and Graziano met with Jiangxi Provincial Committee Member of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and Secretary of the Nanchang Municipal Committee, Yu Xinron, as well as Jiangxi Provincial Vice Governor, Hong Lihe. Hinrichs thanked the officials for their continued support of Ford's joint venture, and expressed his confidence that together Ford and JMC will achieve even greater accomplishments in Nanchang in the coming years.

JMC is one of the biggest companies in China's commercial vehicle industry and has been one of the country's Top 100 Listed Companies for the past five years. With a 30% equity stake, Ford is the second largest shareholder in JMC.
