Ford Unveils its Biggest-Ever Exhibit at Manila International Motor Show

DATE: Will be calculated from "Release Start Date" field.

MANILA, Philippines – In the midst of fantastic sales momentum this year, Ford Group Philippines (FGP) is showcasing its biggest-ever display at the Manila International Auto Show (MIAS), which kicks off today and runs through April 10 at the World Trade Center.

The Ford stand at MIAS features a full product line-up, with 15 vehicles on display: the ASEAN-assembled All-New Ford Fiesta, Ford Everest and Ford Escape SUVs, Ford Ranger, and four different variants of the Ford Focus, including one TRS race car – as well as the Ford Expedition, Ford Explorer and Ford E-150 van.

Addressing the press and motoring enthusiasts on the opening day of the motor show, FGP President Randy Krieger talked about the great strides Ford is making in the Philippines.

“Ford is now one of the fastest growing automotive brands in the Philippines,” said Krieger. “A transformation began last year for Ford in the Philippines with the launch of our first One Ford vehicle, the All-New Fiesta, which is attracting a huge number of new-to-Ford customers."

FGP just announced its best-ever quarterly performance with sales that jumped 74 percent from the same period a year ago, largely driven by the success of the All-New Fiesta.

Krieger added that the introduction of more One Ford global vehicles in the near future will make Philippines dealer showrooms “even more robust and compelling.”

Steven Tan, FGP vice president of Marketing and Sales, presented the company’s latest sales promotion, Drive One.

“We are making Ford vehicles more accessible to more people, and Drive One simplifies the way customers can choose and buy a Ford,” Tan announced on MIAS opening day.

The Drive One campaign offers consumers a choice of vehicles for the same low, all-in down payment – a highly effective sales and marketing strategy in the Philippines.
