DATE: Will be calculated from "Release Start Date" field.

COLOGNE, Germany – Ford plans a host of global reveals and European firsts at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show, which opens next month.

The global reveals are said to mark an important step forward for the company’s performance vehicle strategy and ultra-low CO2 ECOnetic technology range, and will provide a look at the future direction of Ford design and technology

The reveals will all take place on an expanded 3,200-square-metre show stand, Ford’s largest ever stand in Frankfurt. It will feature exhibits, interactive displays and a customer lounge with viewing terrace overlooking Ford’s latest vehicles, concepts and technologies. Just outside will be a 2,800-square-metre track where visitors can take part in Ford’s ‘Drive Experience’, testing out innovations such as Active City Stop and Active Park Assist.

“Ford plans to make a strong statement at the Frankfurt Motor Show, with several very exciting global product reveals and our significantly expanded show stand,” said Stephen Odell, chairman and CEO, Ford of Europe. “German customers are very discerning and we’re excited to be showing them our best-ever vehicle line-up and a special glimpse of the future.”

The 2011 IAA Frankfurt Motor Show opens its doors to the public from September 15 to 25.
