 Ford Racing Weekend Results

NHRA:
  • For the second week in a row, Robert Hight, driver of the Auto Club Ford Mustang, took home the Wally. Hight defeated Jack Beckman, Dodge, to win Sunday's O'Reilly Super Start Batteries NHRA Fall Nationals at Texas Motorplex.
  • Hight's win vaults him to first place in the Countdown standings, after two of six "playoff" events.  He started the playoffs 10th, after being the final driver to qualify, and this makes his third consecutive final round appearance.
  • Ford Racing driver standings after the second race in the Countdown are as follows:
             - 1st- Robert Hight (2241)
             - 2nd-Ashley Force Hood (2228)
             - 5th-Bob Tasca III (2170)
             - 7th-John Force (2131)
             - 8th-Tim Wilkerson (2129)
             - 9th-Mike Neff (2099).
    
NASCAR Sprint Cup Series:
  • Jimmie Johnson, Chevrolet, won Sunday's AAA 400 at Dover International Speedway, the second of the 10 races in the Chase for the Sprint Cup Championship.
  • Matt Kenseth, driver of the No. 17 Fusion had the fastest Ford in the field, finishing a strong third after starting from the back of the field.
  • Greg Biffle, driver of the No. 16 Fusion qualified fourth and ran in the top 10 for the first half of the race, but faded to a 13th-place finish. 
  • Carl Edwards, driver of the No. 99 Fusion qualified 30th, but steadily moved forward, ending up 11th.
  • Ford driver standings in the Chase standings after the second race:
             - Greg Biffle 9th (-138)
             - Carl Edwards 11th (-153)
  • Other Ford drivers finishes at the AAA 400 include: Paul Menard (19th), Bobby Labonte (23rd), David Ragan (24th), and Jamie McMurray (28th).
  
NASCAR Nationwide Series:
  • Clint Bowyer, Chevrolet, won Saturday's Dover 300 at Dover International Speedway.
  • Ford Racing had two drivers finish in the top 10: 5th-Carl Edwards, and 10th-Jason Keller.
  • Currently there are two Ford drivers in the top 10 in point standings: 2nd-Carl Edwards (-211), and 7th-Jason Keller (-1,424).
  
NASCAR Camping World Truck Series:
  • Johnny Saunter, Chevrolet, won Friday's Las Vegas 350 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
  • Rick Crawford, driver of the No. 24 F-150, finished 11th and was the highest finishing Ford in the field.
  • Currently there are two Ford drivers in the top 10 in point standings: 7th-Colin Braun (-578), and 8th-Rick Crawford (-634).
SCCA Pro Racing Speed World Challenge GT:
  • Andy Pilgrim, Volvo, won Friday's Toyo Tires Road Atlanta Grand Prix presented by Dish Network.
  • Brandon Davis, driver of the No. 10 Ford Mustang GT finished third during Friday's race. Davis still leads the driver standings with 919 points and only needs to finish sixth or better in the last race to win the Speed World Challenge GT Championship.
  • Ford is currently second in the manufacturers standings with 44 points, 11 points behind leader Porsche.
