NHRA:
- Robert Hight, driver of the Auto Club Ford Mustang Funny Car, clinched his first career Funny Car championship with a dominating run through the ‘Countdown to 1.’ Hight won three of the six races and was twice the No. 1 qualifier in the NHRA playoffs. The championship is the 16th for John Force Racing in the past 20 seasons and the 10th for JFR with Ford Motor Company. This championship win ties John Force with Bob Glidden as the winningest team owner in Ford Racing NHRA history.
- Mike Neff, driver of the Ford Drive One Mustang Funny Car, defeated Ashley Force Hood, driver of the Castrol GTX Ford Mustang Funny Car, to win Sunday's Automobile Club of Southern California NHRA Finals in Pomona, California. The win was the first of Neff's career.
- Funny Car point standings for Ford drivers at the end of the NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series Countdown to 1 are as follows:

NASCAR Nationwide Series:
- Carl Edwards, driver of the No. 60 Ford Fusion, won the Able Body Labor 200 race on Saturday to delay Kyle Busch’s Nationwide Series championship for one more week.
- It was Edwards’ 25th career victory in the Nationwide Series – and fifth in 2009.
- Ford had two other drivers finish in the top 10: David Ragan (6th), and Matt Kenseth (7th).
- Kyle Busch, Toyota, will clinch the Nationwide Series championship merely by starting the race this coming Saturday.
- Currently there are two Ford drivers in the top 10 in point standings: Carl Edwards-2nd (-190), and Jason Keller -8th (1,656).
NASCAR Sprint Cup Series:
- Jimmie Johnson, Chevrolet, won Sunday's Check O'Reilly Auto Parts 500 at Phoenix International Raceway, the ninth of the 10 races in the Chase for the Sprint Cup Championship. If Johnson finishes 25th or better in next Sunday’s Ford 400 at Homestead he will clinch his fourth Sprint Cup title.
- AJ Allmendinger, driver of the No. 44 Ford Fusion, finished in 13th place in just his second race since making the switch from Dodge to Ford.

NASCAR Camping World Truck Series:
- Kevin Harvick, Chevrolet, won Friday's Lucas Oil 150 at Phoenix International Raceway.
- Rick Crawford, driver of the No. 24 F-150 was the fastest Ford finshing 14th.
- Ron Hornaday, Jr., Chevrolet. clinched the Camping World Truck Series title on Friday night.
- Currently there are two Ford drivers in the top 10 in point standings: Colin Braun-7th (-649), and Rick Crawford-10th (-649).
