DATE: Will be calculated from "Release Start Date" field.

WARSAW, Poland – 2011 looks set to be a year to remember for Ford Poland. The Blue Oval has been the country’s second best-selling automotive brand for the past 11 months - its best ever performance - and has achieved a market share of eight per cent.

Almost 24,500 new Ford vehicles were registered in Poland in the first 11 months of this year. The Ford Focus was the Company’s top seller, with 8,114 units sold so far this year.

This impressive growth has caught the eye of Poland’s biggest selling automotive weekly, Auto Swiat (sister publication of Auto Bild). The magazine has presented Adam Kolodziejczyk, managing director of Ford Poland, with a “Golden Steering Wheel” award in recognition of Ford’s dynamic growth of volume and share of new vehicles sales in the Polish market. The award was presented at the annual “Golden Steering Wheel” gala dinner.

Ford Poland has also been rewarded with a “Fleet Leader 2011” accolade by Fleet magazine for achieving fleet sales leadership in Poland. Furthermore, Ford Poland’s fleet sales manager, Sebastian Cyborowski, was named “Fleet Industry Personality of the Decade 2001-2011” for his efforts in the development of Poland’s fleet market over the past ten years.
