JAKARTA, Indonesia – Ford Motor Indonesia (FMI) kicked off its ‘Fiesta Celebration’ this week at Central Park Mall, Jakarta, which involves a series of 45 mall exhibitions in 15 cities across the country, including Jakarta, Bandung, Aceh and Medan.
At the inaugural Fiesta Celebration event, the globally popular Fiesta received another accolade, this time from MURI, or the Museum of Records, Indonesia, as the first car in its class with a Voice Activated Communications and Audio System. Since making its Indonesian debut in November last year, the Ford Fiesta has won numerous automotive awards, including ‘2010 Car of the Year’ from AutoBild Indonesia and ‘2010 Hatch of the Year’ from Top Gear Indonesia.
“We are celebrating so many achievements this year, including Fiesta being number two in March sales in Indonesia’s highly-competitive B-segment ,” said Will Angove, president director, FMI.
Offering a best-in-class package of award-winning design, safety, smart technology, superior fuel efficiency, and value for money, the Fiesta has been generating an increasing amount of interest among consumers.
In addition to showcasing the stylish and sporty global car, the Fiesta Celebration series gives customers a chance to test drive the Fiesta during the two-month road show. Live entertainment and cool contests are also part of the mall celebration fun.
