Meerut, India: Ford India has extended its customer sales and service footprint by opening Orchid Ford, a brand new 3-S (showroom, sales and service) dealership in the city of Meerut.
Nigel Wark, Ford India's executive director of marketing sales & service officially inaugurated the dealership along with Orchid Ford's dealer principal Gaurav Agarwal.
''Ford's growth in India is driven by many factors including the opening of new dealerships and expanding our on-the-ground sales and servicing network,'' Wark said at the opening ceremony. ''With facilities like this terrific Orchid Ford outlet, our current and new customers can enjoy more choice and convenience, with access to the latest developments in car sales and service.''
The Orchid Ford dealership was built to meet Ford's global standards to give all customers an enhanced ownership experience from the moment they step into the showroom.
Orchid Ford will be Ford India’s eighth dealership in the northern state of Uttar Pradesh and will serve customers in Meerut and the neighboring towns of Muzaffarnagar, Bijnor, Baghpat and Bulandshahar. It is the 167th dealership to open in India, and several more openings are planned in the next month.
The new facility will house Ford India’s entire product range, including the Figo which is breaking sales records all across the country. The dealership is spacious, covering an area of 1,580 square metres.
With a sales staff of 20, Orchid Ford's showroom boasts a large product display area, a comfortable customer lounge and a play area for children.
The new service centre has eight mechanical bays and five body bays and is run by a team of 30 Ford-trained personnel. Orchid Ford will also introduce two dedicated Quick Service bays providing an express 90-minute scheduled servicing option.

The dealership will offer easy finance options to customers and has tie-ups with leading banks such as HDFC Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, State Bank of India and ICICI Bank.
