SAO PAULO -- Ford Brazil will invest R$ 370 million in Heavy Trucks Operations during the period of 2010 to 2013. The announcement was made this weekend at the 2009 FENATRAN opening along with the new product line presentation.

"This new investment round shows the commitment and importance of the trucks segment on Ford's global operations and also the role of Brazil as a production center and main market of South America," said Marcos de Oliveira, president of Ford Brazil and Mercosur. "We have ambitious plans for the region. The resources will be used to develop new products and also manufacturing and services improvement."
