Ford Fiesta 200, Innovative Car with a Mexican Twist

DATE: Will be calculated from "Release Start Date" field.

MEXICO CITY -- During September, Mexico celebrates its independence bicentennial, and Ford of Mexico (FoM), joins the commemoration by creating a 200 units special edition called Ford Fiesta 200. This vehicle embraces values that inspired the independence movement two hundred years ago, and that currently distinguish Mexican youth, such as: freedom, originality, and renovation. These values were the source of inspiration for the Ford of Mexico team to create a stylish and dynamic car with a Mexican twist.

Ford Fiesta in itself has an inherent symbolic meaning of renovation for FoM because it represents new investments, the transformation of an iconic Plant (Cuautitlan Stamping and Assembling Plant), and the first Ford vehicle that is produced on a global platform.

Ford Fiesta 200 is based on the most equipped version of the Ford Fiesta hatchback (SES), and has a vibrant design, hi-tech features, and top quality and safety attributes. The Fiesta 200 comes in black (exterior and interior), and it is decorated with green, white and red lines along the sides that represent the Mexican flag. Also for a sporty look, the vehicle is equipped with:

  • Front air dam, side skirt and rear lower skirts.
  • Rear roof spoiler.
  • Black alloy wheels.
  • Leather seats decorated with the "200" logo.
  • Distinctive three-color line embroidered on the head restraints.
    Sport pedals.
  • Illuminated scuff plates with lit up Fiesta nameplate (when doors open).
  • Illuminated gear shift knob that highlights the speed pattern design.

Ford Fiesta 200 is a true example of teamwork and the embracing of ONE Ford values, since it is the result of a synergistic collaboration among areas such as Marketing, Engineering, Vehicle Personalization and Accessories, and Parts Supply and Logistics. Working together leads us to innovation and to the renewal of our brand for a bright future to come. ONE Ford, ONE Team, ONE Goal.
