JIUZHAIGOU, China – Ford’s all-new Mondeo made a big splash last weekend in picturesque Jiuzhaigou, western China.
Changan Ford, Ford’s joint venture in China, officially announced the sales price of this highly anticipated vehicle, ranging from RMB179,800 to RMB265,800 (from US$29,000 to US$42,500). Customers may now choose from seven models with various trim options and technology packs.
The launch event attracted more than 190 journalists from 167 media outlets. To celebrate the historical moment of launching the next-generation model of the flagship Mondeo nameplate, Changan Ford also invited the first batch of car owners and representatives from the Ford dealer committee to witness the exciting moment and share the joy.
Journalists were also able to take the all-new Ford Mondeo for a spin after the launch ceremony. The 134km test drive allowed journalist to put the powerful EcoBoost engine to the test and try out an array of class-leading features, including Adaptive Cruise Control, SYNC with MyFord Touch, and Lane Keeping Assist along the way.
“The new Ford Mondeo comes with a significantly improved interior with much better craftsmanship. The car has a charming appearance also. The seating is comfortable and spacious,” said Tang Dengtao, a journalist from Urban Express. “I was greatly impressed with many of its innovative technologies. This is a great car with real value.”

Fitted with a 1.5L or a 2.0L EcoBoost engine, the stunning all-new Ford Mondeo sets a new benchmark in China’s mid to high-end segment with a combination of unrivalled driving experience and a comprehensive range of innovative technologies.
Safety features including ESC, front dual airbags, side curtain airbags, driver’s knee airbag, electronic brakes are made standard on all models. The top-of-the-range model even comes with the industry-first inflatable rear seatbelt.
