OAKVILLE — Ford Motor Company of Canada Ltd. sales increased one per cent this month, continuing sales leadership for the month and year-to-date, powered by cars, which increased six per cent, and electrified vehicles. The sales increase marked Ford of Canada’s best November since 2002.
Ford Fusion sales increased 45 per cent and Taurus sales rose 18 per cent. Mustang sales increased 20 per cent in November and this Thursday, December 5, Ford will unveil the 2015 Mustang. November was also a great month for sales of alternative powertrains, with C-MAX sales increasing 55 per cent.
Truck sales increased last month, driven by Ford F-150, which rose four per cent and was voted the 2014 Pick-Up of the Year by Auto 123.
Sales of the Oakville-built Ford Flex rose 32 per cent last month, as well as the Expedition, which increased 34 per cent. It was the second month of significant growth for Lincoln, with sales up 32 per cent.
