 Ford and MyHandicap Extend Partnership

DATE: Will be calculated from "Release Start Date" field.

COLOGNE, Germany – Ford of Germany is extending its partnership with the MyHandicap foundation to improve mobility and foster inclusion for people with disabilities or severe diseases.

MyHandicap is a charitable trust that aims to improve the life of people with physical handicaps and facilitate their independence by offering information and advice on various topics of everyday life. On the myhandicap.com web portal people with disabilities can find a variety of useful information, seek advice from experts or exchange experiences with others.

MyHandicap’s mobility specialists answer questions regarding assistance features and vehicle modifications for people with disabilities. They will now be supported by Ford experts who will help find individual mobility solutions.

On the MyHandicap Facebook page, Ford will regularly provide information on purchasing and driving a vehicle as well as special conditions for the Ford B-MAX. The new MAV goes on sale later in the year. Its innovative Easy Access Door System with hinged front doors and sliding rear doors integrating the central body pillars provides unobstructed entry and exit.

Owners of a severely handicapped pass will receive a 20 per cent discount on any new Ford B-MAX. MyHandicap users will benefit from an additional 200 Euros premium. Ford will also further support the work of the MyHandicap foundation through a grant for every sold vehicle.

“We are happy to continue our successful partnership with Ford and extend our cooperation for the benefit of people with disabilities,” said Robert Freumuth, manager of MyHandicap Germany.

“Ford already supported the development of the MyHandicap iPhone App, an index of handicapped accessible locations. Now the company is creating another attractive offer to improve the mobility of people with disabilities. This way, we are combining our skills and helping those affected in gathering information and move safely through everyday life.”
