FORTALEZA, Brazil - Ford Trucks and Troller both took the podium in the 19th Sertões Rally, the most difficult off-road competition in the Americas, on Aug. 19.  The 10-day Rally covers 4,000 kilometers rough terrain and traverses Brazil from Goiânia to Fortaleza, in the country's northeast.

The F4000, Ford's light truck, won its category for the seventh time, and became the greatest champion in the history of Sertões Rally. The Troller, after a 10-year absence at the rally, returned this year in winning fashion, taking second and third place in the Production category, where the trucks retain the main technical specifications.

The 4000 Ford truck, number 405, driven by the team of Edu Piano/Solon Mendes/David Fonseca, led the pack with the shortest time from start until the end of the competition. It won most of the ten stages and overcame the most diverse types of terrain, despite the heat, dust and other challenges that are common in this type of race in the Brazilian wilderness.

The Troller T4 team of Ulysses Marinzeck and João Victor Ribeiro took second place in its category,  showing once again the Troller T4's robustness and calling for off-road terrain. The other Troller team, formed by Ricardo Domingues and Vinicius Castro, also took the podium in a dramatic fashion: they won a position in the final round to take the third place in the category.

Ford Caminhões e Troller São Destaque no Rally dos Sertões no Brasil

FORTALEZA, Brasil -- Mantendo o alto desempenho de seus produtos a Ford e a Troller subiram ao pódio no 19º Rally dos Sertões, a competição off-road mais difícil das Américas, em 19 de agosto. O F4000, caminhão leve da Ford, garantiu a hegemonia em sua categoria vencendo em 2011 pela sétima vez, e se tornou o maior campeão da história do Rally dos Sertões. A Troller, após 10 anos afastada da competição, voltou ao pódio este ano conquistando o segundo e o terceiro lugar na categoria Production, onde são mantidas as principais características de fábrica dos veículos.

O caminhão Ford F-4000 de número 405 do trio Edu Piano/Sólon Mendes/Davi Fonseca liderou a categoria com o menor tempo do início ao fim da competição. Venceu a maioria das dez etapas e superou os mais diversos tipos de terreno, sem contar o calor, a poeira e outros desafios que são comuns nesse tipo de prova pelo sertão do Brasil.

O Troller T4 da dupla Ulysses Marinzeck e João Victor Ribeiro encarou com valentia mais de mais de 4.000 quilômetros de competição, que partiu de Goiânia e chegou a Fortaleza. A vice-liderança em sua categoria mostrou mais uma vez a robustez do Troller T4, que tem em seu DNA vocação para off-road. A outra dupla da Troller, formada por Ricardo Domingues e Vinícius Castro, também subiu ao pódio de forma emocionante: ganhou uma posição na etapa final para conquistar o terceiro lugar na categoria.
