BANGKOK, Thailand – Ford Thailand has received the 2012 Thailand Automotive Quality Award (TAQA) for ‘Outstanding Image – Innovation’ for the second consecutive year. The award was presented at the 29th Thailand International Motor Expo in Bangkok.
Initiated in 2002 as a shared vision by the Thailand Productivity Institute, Custom Asia, Manager newspaper, Inter Media Consultants and the organizer of the annual Thailand International Motor Expo, the TAQAs are given out as a result of an annual survey of consumer satisfaction covering three main aspects: service quality, product quality and after-sales service.

Ford’s current product line-up in Thailand includes vehicles with several first-in-market and first-in-segment features. Leading the way is the technology packed all-new Ford Focus equipped with award-winning Ford SYNC® system that enables drivers to make calls or play their favourite music using voice commands.
Other innovative features in the all-new Focus include Active Park Assist, which helps the driver parallel park hands free, Active City Stop, which helps mitigate low-speed collisions, and the Blind Spot Information System (BLIS), which alerts the driver when a car enters its blind spot.
The popular Ford Fiesta and the class-defining all-new Ford Ranger also offer several first-in-class features including a connectivity package with Voice Control technology paired with Bluetooth.

The 2012 Thailand Automotive Quality Award (TAQA) award results are based upon surveys of 6,400 vehicle users across 12 brands in 76 provinces.
