BANGKOK, Thailand — Two events were recently organised by Ford Thailand to celebrate the Company’s successes this year, including another year of record sales for 2012.

The first event, ‘Sparkling Night’ year-end party, saw almost 300 Ford employees dressed in glittery costume, enjoying the dinner and a costume contest.

Matt Bradley, president, Ford ASEAN, took this opportunity to thank the Ford team for their hard work that has contributed to record sales in six of the eleven months this year in Thailand.
“Our One Ford plan is driving a product-led transformation of our business here in Thailand, and across the ASEAN region,” said Bradley. “This transformation started in 2010 with the launch of the popular Ford Fiesta, gained momentum with the all-new Ford Ranger, and continued this year with the all-new Ford Focus.”
“These new products have helped drive record sales here in Thailand, while more than doubling our market share over the last two years,” he said. “We all can be very proud of these achievements, the progress that we have made, and all the new-to Ford customers we have acquired and are now serving. And I’m equally proud to say that we’re just getting started.”
Ford also hosted another event to celebrate these successes with over 200 media friends who have helped tell the Ford story and allow the Ford brand to reach and connect with people nationwide.
Under the theme ‘Ford Go Further - Let’s Go, Let’s Glow’, leading automotive and lifestyle journalists were encouraged to dress in bright color costumes, with neon being the color scheme for the evening.
Yukontorn ‘Vickie’ Wisadkosin, vice president, Marketing, Sales and Service, Ford Thailand, highlighted the Ford’s success at  the 2012 Thailand International Motor Expo earlier this month where it received more than 5,600 customer bookings.
“We celebrated a number of significant milestones this year, along with record monthly sales throughout the year that has brought us so many new-to-Ford customers that we are now serving,” said Yukontorn.
“As we close out another record year in Thailand, we are looking forward to carrying this momentum into next year, further growing our business and providing a world-class customer service experience,” she added.
