PORT ELIZABETH, South Africa – Around 25 employees from the Ford Struandale Engine Plant were among the first people to experience the superlative performance and handling of the all-new Ford Focus ST.
The first phase of the launch, dubbed the “ST Experience”, was held at the Aldo Scribante Raceway in Port Elizabeth, and the team was treated to an adrenaline-charged ride in the exhilarating new Focus ST, driven by a team of professional drivers.
One lucky employee, Karu Naicker, set the fastest time on the Playstation DIRT 3 driving simulation and was rewarded with the opportunity to drive the Focus ST himself, revelling in the exceptional performance and handling of this benchmarking-defining hot hatchback.
The employees were also exposed to Ford’s new SYNC technology, which represents the latest and most advanced iteration of Ford’s multimedia connectivity platform.
