Ford Stand at 33rd Bangkok Motor Show Is Drawing Record Crowds

DATE: Will be calculated from "Release Start Date" field.

BANGKOK, Thailand — The Ford stand at the 33rd Bangkok International Motor Show has been literally overflowing since the doors were opened to the public this week, attracting a mass of people all jostling to review the full line-up of Ford vehicles and interactive displays on offer.

The all-new Ford Focus, packed with class-leading technologies, has been the centre of attention on the stand, which has been overwhelmed with customers eager to get a first look at the latest One Ford global vehicle that goes on sale in Thailand and across ASEAN later this year.

The Bangkok Motor Show is one of Thailand’s primary events for retail automotive sales, with many of the 1.5 million average annual attendees going with the intention to purchase a new vehicle.
The Ford stand, and its continuing transformation with new global One Ford vehicles, is certainly reaping the benefits of pent-up demand following last year’s devastating floods. Through the first three public days of the Show, Ford sales are more than double the record-setting order-take it achieved at the 2011 Bangkok Motor Show.

Complementing the all-new Focus is an expanded line-up of the class-leading Ford Fiesta, the class-defining and globally-engineered all-new Ford Ranger, an upgraded Ford Everest, and a preview of the Australian-built Ford Territory to gauge local market interest.

The recent addition of the Fiesta 1.5L Ti-VCT with PowerShift, which qualifies for Thailand’s First Car Owner policy, has proven to be especially popular with Show attendees. In addition to the Fiesta, the all-new Ford Ranger is helping drive the onslaught of sales so far.

An array of interactive displays is also available at the stand to engage and inform visitors on the various features of Ford’s vehicles. The interactive ‘Focus Theatre,’ which turns the windscreen of the all-new Focus into a movie screen, is used to inform visitors about its capabilities and class-leading smart technologies.
A SYNC display unit provides the experience of this award-winning hands-free technology system that allows the driver to combine all their digital devices to control their music and communications.

While Ford’s impressive line-up is there for all to see, the latest addition is proving to be a focal point of interest.

The all-new Focus, packed with the latest smart technologies and features, equipped with 2.0L Ti-VCT GDi engine and SYNC technology, will offer customers a vehicle that is unmatched in the medium size segment.
The all-new Focus is a lot more advanced than other cars in terms of technology and safety. The Active Park Assist is really innovative. I'd love to see it in action. The All-New Focus also has many features to keep your hands on the steering wheel. I'm really impressed,” said one excited visitor.

The 33rd Bangkok International Motor Show will run until April 8 at Impact Challenger, Muang Thong Thai.
