 Ford South Africa Shapes Up

DATE: Will be calculated from "Release Start Date" field.

PRETORIA, South Africa— Healthy employees are happy employees. Ford Motor Company of South Africa (FMCSA) has started “Healthy Me”, a Ford Lifestyle Program in order to adopt this philosophy.

The program strives to work in tandem with three important partners: Path 2 Wellness, Virgin Active and EAP Careways.

Path 2 Wellness will provide the services of a licensed dietician and health tests. The dietician will schedule hour-long consultations with employees that are striving for specific results like weight loss or lowering cholesterol levels and help them come up with a 12 week plan. Their progress will be followed with weekly weigh-ins and measurements. Prizes will be given to those who lose the most weight in the healthiest way. After the 12 week program is over, employees will stay in touch with their health on a monthly basis.
Virgin Active is the most convenient gym with many employees already enrolled at locations like Nelmapius, Mamelodi, Silverton, Eersterust, Meyers Park. They will hold a presentation on-site for employees, explaining the importance of exercise along with some hands-on advice. A zumba exercise class to motivate employees to get active will also be available.
