MOSCOW, Russia - Ford Sollers this week unveils three new global models, as well as the 2013 Ford Explorer, at the Moscow International Automobile Salon 2012.
Martin Smith, executive director, design, Ford of Europe, will present the Russian première of new Ford Kuga, emphasizing the importance of the model for the Russian market. It is planned to start production of the new vehicle in Russia in 2013. Together with the new Ford Ranger and legendary Ford Explorer, new Ford Kuga will form the core of an exciting Ford SUV and crossover range in Russia.
The new 2013 Ford Explorer also makes its debut at the Moscow International Automobile Salon 2012 this week. The vehicle will have a full range of options not available before including a premium Limited Plus Pack which features the following technologies: heated steering wheel; Active Park Assist and Adaptive Cruise Control; Blind Spot Information System; PowerFold 3rd Row Seats that fold flat for convenient storage; perforated, heated and cooled front seats that feature 10-way power with power lumbar and recline.
Another Ford SUV making its first appearance in Moscow is the Ford Ranger Wildtrak. Looking both muscular and contemporary, Ford’s new pickup is equally at home on a farm or parked outside an upmarket restaurant.
The Moscow International Automobile Salon 2012 also marks the Russian debut of the new Ford Focus ST which delivers a unique balance of outstanding performance, handling, refinement and style. Focus ST will be available in two body styles: five-door hatchback format and a wagon variant.
Meanwhile, Ford is also showcasing the unique Ford Evos Concept in Moscow. This conceptual fastback was created as the ultimate expression of the company’s new global design DNA and previews the design language for the next generation of global Ford products.
The Moscow International Automobile Salon 2012 runs from August 29 through to September 9 at Moscow’s Crocus Expo International Exhibition Centre.
