RABAT, Morocco – Strong demand for Ford’s award-winning cars and commercial vehicles saw sales in Morocco jump by more than a third last year.
Ford registered 10,030 vehicles in the North African country, capturing a 7.7 per cent market share, making it the fourth best-selling OME overall. Ford’s figures show a 36.4 per cent year-on-year increase in a market that rose by 16.3 per cent.
Ford sales in Morocco have more than doubled since 2007. Last year, Fiesta, Focus and C-MAX were best-sellers in their respective segments in Morocco. Transit was second, while the first generation Kuga ranked third in the 4x4 and SUV category.
Ford’s popularity in Morocco will be boosted by the availability of new Ranger, B-MAX, new Fiesta, new Kuga and the new Transit Custom.
