GUANGZHOU, China — Ford Motor Company is all set to Go Further in China.

At the Guangzhou Auto Show (GZAS), Marin Burela, president, Changan Ford Mazda Automobile, unveiled Ford’s new global brand promise, reinforcing the company’s commitment to customers across China.

“We are very proud to be introducing ‘Go Further’ to China, our enduring commitment to provide Chinese customers with outstanding new products that lead in quality, fuel efficiency, safety, smart design and great  value. Our line-up of cars at the Guangzhou shows clearly demonstrates that commitment coming to life here in China,” said Burela.
Together with the announcement of Go Further, Changan Ford also unveiled three important new models: the all-new Ford Kuga kicked off its presale and announced the presale price range; the all-new Ford EcoSport was available for taking orders, and the New Ford Fiesta made its debut in Asia.
Around 300 media attended the press conference and witnessed the historic moment for Changan Ford. Burela was joined at the press conference by Luo Minggang, executive vice president of Changan Ford, and the management of Changan Ford Sales Company. They also walked around the Ford stand and shared with the media the significance of ‘Go Further,’ as well as the amazing achievements, the aggressive growth plan and the appealing features of the three unveiled new models on the stand.
“In 2012, Changan Ford has truly gone further, with year-to-date sales growing nearly 23 percent compared to last year, far outpacing industry growth of 6.9 percent. In October alone, sales were up 65 percent compared to October 2011, demonstrating that the Ford brand continues to win the minds and hearts of Chinese customers, who strongly desire and value our great and class leading cars,” Burela added.
Both the size and significance of the GZAS are growing each year. This year, with 1,995 square metres of exhibition area, Changan Ford exhibited 11 models altogether, including the all-new Ford Kuga, all-new Ford EcoSport, new Ford Fiesta, New Ford Focus, Classic Ford Focus, Ford Fiesta, Ford S-Max, Ford Mondeo-Zhisheng, Ford Edge, Focus ST and the new Focus Racing car that has won five annual manufactures’ titles of CTCC in the past seven years.  All vehicles displayed on the stand greatly appealed to the reporters and show visitors.
“The new brand promise Go Further is very good and matches perfectly to the development of Changan Ford. The all-new Ford Kuga is of great benefit to Chinese customers with rich features and smart technologies,” said Zhao Jing from Sina.com.
“I’m glad to see Changan Ford is taking action to implement its aggressive development plan in China, entering the SUV market is an important step. Ford has been amongst the top in the global SUV market. With the introduction of these good products into China, I believe Changan Ford will make another round of incredible achievements in this segment,” said Zhu He from National Business Daily.
Changan Ford is committed to continuing to introduce more new and exciting products that strongly appeal to the Chinese market. By 2015, Ford will introduce 15 new vehicles in China, and most of them will be manufactured at Changan Ford. After the completion of the new assembly plant in Hangzhou by 2015, the annual production capacity of Changan Ford will exceed 1.2 million units.
