DEARBORN - Weekend racing results for July 20 - 22. Vaughn Gittin Jr. won his second straight event to climb into first place in the championship standings (Formula D). Courtney Force reached her second finals of her rookie season (NHRA). Ricky Stenhouse Jr. started from the pole and dominated in Chicago, but finished second (NNS).
 
NHRA Funny Car Series (Mustang)
• Courtney Force reached her second finals of her rookie season in Denver, but fell to Jack Beckman (Dodge)
• Beckman also ruined what was nearly a Father-Daughter final, narrowly edging John Force in the semifinals.
• John, Courtney, Robert Hight and Mike Neff all reached the second round.
• Robert Hight qualified second, John Force fifth, Mike Neff sixth, Courtney Force seventh, Tim Wilkerson 10th and Bob Tasca III in 13th.
• Robert Hight leads the driver’s championship with 1060 points, Mike Neff sits third (863).Courtney Force sixth (701), Bob Tasca III ninth (654), John Force 10th (643) and Tim Wilkerson 11th (573). 
• Ford holds a commanding lead in the manufacturer’s standings with 4,020 points, holding a 2,140 point lead over Dodge.
• The 2012 NHRA Funny Car schedule continues July 27-29 at Sonoma, CA.  
 
NASCAR Nationwide Series (Mustang)
• Ricky Stenhouse Jr. started on the pole and led 135 of the 201 laps but Elliott Sadler (Chevy) edged him for the victory in Chicago. Fellow Mustang pilot Michael Annett finished fifth.
• Ricky Stenhouse Jr. sits third in the driver's championship (-19), behind Elliott Sadler (Chevy). Michael Annett sits sixth (-106).
• Ford sits third in the manufacturer’s standings with 83 points, trailing Chevy by 26 points.
• The 2012 NASCAR Nationwide schedule continues at Chicago on July 22
 
NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (Fusion) – NO RACE
• Matt Kenseth remains atop the points standings, 16 in front of Dale Earnhardt Jr. Greg Biffle sits third (-40)and Carl Edwards sits 11th (-140)
• Ford sits third in the manufacturer’s standings with 93 points, trailing Chevy by 42 points.
• The 2012 NASCAR Sprint Cup schedule continues at Indianapolis on July 29.
 
Global RallyCross (Fiesta) – NO RACE
• Tanner Foust leads the championship standings with 62 points, 12 ahead of Samuel Hubinette. Brian Deegan sits third (-13), Marcus Gronholm fourth (-19), David Binks fifth (-20) and Ken Block sixth (-22)
• Ford leads the manufacturer’s standings with 134 points, a 49-point edge over Hyundai
• The 2012 schedule continues on Sept. 1, at an as yet announced location.
  
GRAND-AM CTSCC (MustangBoss302R/Focus ST-R) – NO RACE
• Focus ST-R drivers James Gue/Gunnar Jeannette sit in 9th in the ST class with 126 points, 51 behind Pierre Kleinubing (Mazda)
• Boss 302R drivers Billy Johnson/Jack Roush Jr. sit fifth in the GS driver’s standings with 157 points,36 back of Nick Longhi/Matt Plumb (BMW)
• Ford sits third in the GS manufacturer’s standings with 195 points, 19 behind Porsche.
• The Grand-Am CTSCC season resumes July27 at Indianapolis.
 
V8 Supercars (Falcon) – NO RACE
• Mark Winterbottom sits second (-100) and Will Davidson third (-140) behind points leader Jamie Whincup (Holden).
• The V8 Supercars schedule continues Aug 3-5.
 
World Rally Championship (Fiesta) –NO RACE
• Ford drivers sit 3-7 in the points standings, led by Petter Solberg in third with 90 points (-55) behind leader Sebastien Loeb (Citroen)
• The Ford World Rally Team sits in the manufacturer’s standings with 141 points, trailing Citroen Total World Rally by 96.
• The WRC season continues August 2-4 with Rally Finland

Formula Drift (Mustang)
• Vaughn Gittin Jr. scored his second-consecutive victory, winning Round 5 in Seattle, WA.
• The 2010 Formula D champ has climbed from sixth to first in the championship standings thanks to the two victories.
• Gittin holds a 7.5 point edge over second, while fellow Mustang driver Justin Pawlak sits 15 points back in third.
• The Formula D schedule continues Aug. 24-25, in Las Vegas. 
 
World Touring Car Championship (Focus)
• James Nash finished 15th and Tom Chilton 16th in both races during the Brazil stop
• James Nash sits 18th with 12points and Tom Chilton sits 19th in the driver’s standings with seven.
• The WTCC 2012 schedule continues Sept. 21-23 at Sonoma, CA. 
 
Rally America (Fiesta) – NO RACE
• Fiesta driver Chris Duplessis holds the championship lead, enjoying a 17-point cushion. Fellow Ford drivers Ed McNelly (T-P3, -38), Verena Mei (P5, -44) and Dillon Van Way (P6, -45) remain in contention for third place in the final standings.
• The Rally America season concludes with Olympus Rally Sept. 22-23. 
 
GRAND-AM Rolex Series (Daytona Prototypes) – NO RACE
• Ford DP pilots Ryan Dalziel/Enzo Potolicchio sit second, three back of the leaders Memo Rojas/Scott Pruett (BMW), while John Pew/Ozz Negri Jr. sit fourth, 17 points back.
• Ford sits second in the manufacturer standings with 239, 25 points back of Chevy
• The Rolex Series resumes July 27at Indianapolis Motor Speedway
 
European RallyCross (Fiesta) – NO RACE
• Tanner Foust sits third in the championship standings despite missing two of the six events, 27 points back of the leader, Timur Timerzyanov (Citroen)
• The ERC Schedule continues in Belgium on Aug. 4 
 
SCCA World Challenge GTS(Mustang Boss 302S/Fiesta) – NO RACE
• Justin Bell sits fifth in the points standings with 678, 218 behind leader Andy Lee (Chevy)
• Fiesta driver Craig Capaldi sits third in the B-Spec standings with 571 points, 26 behind Jonathan Start
• Ford sits tied with Acura for the lead in the GTS manufacturer standings with 44 points and third in the B-Spec standings with 30 points, five behind Honda.
• The SCCA schedule resumes August 3at Mid-Ohio for Rounds 10-11.
 
Off-Road Racing (Trucks) – NORACE
• Ford is led by Austin Kimbrell in the championship standings for Pro Lite, he sits in fourth, 80 back of the leader
• Ford drivers own spots 1-4 in the Pro 4 Unlimited standings, led by Kyle LeDuc in first with 396 points
• Ford drivers own spots 1-5 in the championship standings in Pro 2 Unlimited, led by Marty Hart (348 points)
• The Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series championship returns August 4-5 at San Bernardino, CA
