KOCAELI, Turkey – Ford Otosan’s Kocaeli manufacturing facility in Turkey hosted a Global Launch College last week as the company accelerates plans to transform its commercial vehicle line-up.
Nearly 200 members of the commercial vehicle team attended the three day event, gleaning valuable knowledge and learning launch tools about Ford vans coming to market in the next two years.
“The Global Launch College was organised to give employees from Kocaeli, Dunton and Merkenich intensive launch training in what is the start of an incredibly busy period,” said Ford Otosan’s Altug Guney.
“Topics covered including planning, materials/parts, vehicle evaluation, time and data management, as well as on-site modifications.”
College “students” were taught by specialist trainers from Ford of America’s Global New Model Program Launch Department.
“The advice they offered is invaluable and is a superb example of how Ford’s One-Ford strategy is benefiting teams from all around the world,” added Guney.
