PRETORIA, South Africa – To recreate the magic of the drive-in theater experience, while celebrating the bond of Ford owners across the country, Ford Motor Company of Southern Africa (FMCSA) held ‘Night out at the Movies’ events in the towns of Lydenburg and Mashishing on August 27.
Throughout the night, over 300 Ford enthusiasts mingled, swapped stories, admired each other’s cars, and spent quality time with their families while watching the latest blockbusters, ‘Unstoppable’ and ‘The Green Hornet’. The local dealership, Supreme Autos, and FMCSA supplied popcorn and soft drinks.
FMCSA also displayed the latest Ford nameplates for the moviegoers to explore, and ran a montage of historic Ford advertisements, keeping the Ford fans around long after the credits had rolled.
‘Night out at the Movies’ is part of a series of events being held by FMCSA in conjunction with local Ford dealerships to bring Ford fans of all ages together. The events are designed to thank Ford fans for their loyalty to the brand, and simultaneously welcome new Ford owners into the ‘Blue Oval’ community
The next ‘Night at the Movies’ will be held in Ellisras on September 3 and in Heidelberg on September 17.
