DEARBORN - Readers of Minority Engineer magazine selected Ford Motor Company among the top 50 companies in the country where they would most prefer to work or believe are progressive in hiring minority engineers.
Ford ranked 21st on the top employer list, up from the 24th spot last year. The ranking reflects responses provided in an annual reader survey mailed to randomly selected readers of Minority Engineer magazine.
"This year marks the tenth-consecutive year that Ford has been honored by the readers of Minority Engineer Magazine as an industry leader and a great place to work. We continue to have some tremendous hiring opportunities and it's great to see Ford’s outreach and inclusion efforts recognized. We believe a diverse, skilled and motivated team is the key to our innovation and business success," said Debbie Weaks, Ford chief diversity officer and manager, Personnel and Organization Planning.
Ford’s ranking will be featured in the Winter 2013/2014 edition of Minority Engineer magazine.
