 Ford Motor Company Fund Awards $24,000 Journalism Scholarship to Detroit High School Student

DEARBORN – For the 26th consecutive year, Ford Motor Company awarded a $24,000 scholarship to one Detroit high school journalism student during the annual Ford Free Press Journalism Achievement Awards Banquet. The event took place at Ford Motor Company World Headquarters and featured a keynote address from Detroit Free Press Investigative Reporter Jim Schaefer.

“Ford Motor Company Fund has been providing educational opportunities for youth since its start more than 60 years ago,” said Jim Graham, Manager, Community Relations, Ford Motor Company Fund. “We are especially proud to provide these opportunities for promising students from the city of Detroit.”
