PANAMA CITY, Panama – As part of its commitment to invest and grow in the Panama market, Ford is appointing Ford Cincuentenario as a new dealer in Panama. Expanding its dealer network is part of Ford’s strategy to capitalize on the strength of the growing Panama auto industry.
Panama is a strategic market for Ford in Central America. In 2011, the company grew its sales by 54 percent. Fueling that growth was the launch of two all-new products – the Ford Explorer and Ford Focus. In 2012, Ford will launch three additional all-new products – Ranger, Escape and Fusion. By the end of the year, more than 70 percent of Ford’s product lineup in Panama will be all new or significantly refreshed, and Ford customers will have the power to choose from a range of fuel-efficient engine options.
Hal Feder, executive director of Ford’s Export & Growth Division, who attended Ford Cincuentenario’s grand opening, said “We are excited about the appointment of Ford Cincuentenario and look forward to building on our momentum in the market. This organization is extremely professional, and we are confident it will represent the Ford brand among the best in the world.”
Ford Cincuentenario comes from a corporate group with expertise of the automotive industry in Venezuela, which has been expanding its brands in Panama since 2008. As ambassadors of the Ford brand, Ford Cincuentenario’s young and dynamic teams work hard and are eager to see the brand flourish as it expands.
The Ford Cincuentenario showroom is located in fast-growing Panama City, which has the most vibrant economy in the whole Caribbean and Central America region. The all-new, state-of-the-art facility will showcase a full lineup of cars, utilities and trucks, while providing exceptional customer service operations. Its central location will provide convenience to customers and be an excellent addition to Ford’s operations in Panama.
Ford Cincuentenario joins an already established and professional dealer network, led by Distribuidora David Ford S.A., DIDASA, who has represented Ford in Panama since 2003 and currently operates in three locations.
