Bangkok, Thailand — Ford Motor Company today announced the appointment of Yukontorn ‘Vickie’ Wisadkosin as vice president, Marketing, Sales and Service, Ford Thailand. She reports directly to Matt Bradley, president of Ford ASEAN.
In her new role, Yukontorn is responsible for leading the ongoing, product-led transformation of Ford’s business in Thailand, which is being driven by the launch of eight all-new global One Ford vehicles by mid-decade, as well as the ongoing expansion of the company’s nationwide Ford dealer network and customer service experience.
Yukontorn will help oversee the continuing momentum of Ford Thailand, which has delivered four consecutive months of record sales through August.
"We’re thrilled to be welcoming Vickie to the Ford team, and confident in her ability to drive the performance of the Thai market, which is crucial to our growth plans for the region," said Bradley. "Her experience and leadership will help accelerate the successful transformation and expansion of our Thailand business as we introduce more global One Ford vehicles into our showroom and introduce our brand to many new customer segments."
Prior to joining Ford, Yukontorn served as AVP-Global Brand Marketing for the Minor Food Group since January 2009, where she helped lead the continuing successful expansion of The Pizza Company in Thailand and across international markets.
Yukontorn arrives at Ford with nearly a decade of experience in the automotive industry, having served in increasing roles of responsibility with General Motors both in Thailand and on international assignments.
This includes serving as managing director of General Motors Malaysia from 2006-2008, where she helped lead the revival of the Chevrolet brand and GM business in Malaysia. Prior to this, Yukontorn was based in Illinois, USA, from 2004-2006, serving in managerial roles on the Sales and Dealer Network Development teams.
Yukontorn began her tenure at General Motors in Thailand, serving as marketing director at GM Thailand from 2000-2004, where she helped build the Chevrolet brand in the market through a series of new vehicle launches.
