CHUNG-LI, Taiwan — Ford Lio Ho (FLH) launched a 24-hour free test drive program for the all-new Focus, which has been recognized as the best locally-made mid-sized model by the 2013 Car of the Year Awards.
Known as the local “Oscars of the auto industry”, the judging panel of the annual awards consists of auto journalists, professional racers and entertainers who have an average of 15 years’ experience in their fields.
“The competitive advantages that the all-new Focus possesses are evident,” said Anderson Liu, director, Marketing and Sales, Ford Lio Ho. “Inheriting Ford’s best global quality standards, the vehicle provides an unprecedented driving experience.”
Besides the title given by the judges, the all-new Focus was also voted “The Most Popular Model” and “The Best Car for Men” by web users in an online public appraisal held by the organizer.
FLH’s “Swap Your Ride” allows a consumer to own the hat-trick scorer for one day with only a small amount of cash deposit. They are encouraged to share their test drive experience on social media sites. Interesting articles could also win the writers special prizes.
After Fiesta, this was the second time for FLH to hold the free test drive program. The innovative promotional campaign has won the hearts of many local consumers, who can get a better understanding about Ford vehicles.
“After last year’s Fiesta drive, my opinion on the Ford brand was changed for good,” said web user tagged Novitec 599. “This time I did not hesitate to join the Focus drive. After the drive, I believe it is a car with great value. You can only say ‘it’s a good car’ after driving it, instead of listening to what other people say.”
