 Ford Lio Ho Launches All-New Kuga, Wows Media and Dealers

​KAOHSIUNG, Taiwan — Entertaining an audience of 1700 people with a contemporary circus dance performance at the Kaohsiung E-DA Royal Theatre, Kaohsiung city, Ford Lio Ho held an impressive press conference to launch the company’s flagship product of the year — the all-new Ford Kuga, equipped with either a 1.6L or 2.0L EcoBoost engine.
 
The all-new Ford Kuga launch event was the biggest one held by Ford Lio Ho in recent years. The event was attended by 200 dealers who invited over 1,000 potential customers with their families, as well as journalists and editors from over 200 general, auto, lifestyle, business and local media, along with distinguished government officials.
 
“Today is a very special day for Ford Lio Ho, and a great opportunity to continue telling our One Ford story, with all the progress we are making here in Taiwan,” said John Lawler, chairman and CEO, Ford Greater China. “The all-new Ford Kuga is our latest global vehicle to come to this market, bringing cutting edge technologies, best-in-class quality, safety, fuel efficiency and most importantly, driving pleasure to Taiwan customers.”
 
 “As a leader in the SUV segment both in Taiwan and worldwide, by launching the all-new Kuga, Ford Lio Ho is aiming to set a new benchmark for the premium SUV market by providing a best-in-class quality vehicle with advanced technologies and an extraordinary brand experience to fulfill customers' needs,” said Thomas Fann, president of Ford Lio Ho.
 
 “On behalf of Kaohsiung City’s Mayor Chen, I am glad to participate in the great product launch event held by a renowned global automotive company as Ford who has chosen the city to introduce such an advanced technology-equipped global vehicle,” said Lee Yung-Te, Deputy Mayor of Kaohsiung City. “I can see Ford is becoming more innovative, and so does Kaohsiung. I hope that more global companies would come to the city for their future big events.”
 
Ford dealers, especially those in the southern part of Taiwan, were very excited to witness the launch of the All-New Kuga in Kaohsiung.
 
“It’s great to see such a spectacular product launch event held in Kaohsiung, which shows Ford Lio Ho’s significant commitment to the southern part of Taiwan. We are confident that the all-new Ford Kuga will be a big hit in the market and will help accelerate our sales and growth. We are really looking forward to receiving our first fleet of Kugas and displaying them in our show room,” said Lien Wu-Nan, chairman of Shang Ching Motor, one of the Ford dealers in southern Taiwan.
 
The feedback from the media was equally positive. After the press conference, over 100 media joined the dinner to mingle with Ford executives and had a wonderful time.

I can foresee that Ford is on the way to make some significant achievements, especially introducing very competitive products such as Kuga and Focus to Taiwan,” commented Chris Zhang, editor in chief of Car Guide Magazine.
