DATE: Will be calculated from "Release Start Date" field.

CHUNG Li, Taiwan – Ford Lio Ho, Ford’s joint venture in Taiwan, has celebrated its first all-new Ford Kuga rolling-off the line at its manufacturing plant.

The Job One ceremony, featuring a Ford Kuga fleet driven by Thomas Fann, president of Ford Lio Ho, along with five senior executives, was witnessed by a large crowd, including employees, dealers, suppliers and visitors from the nearby community.

“The all-new Ford Kuga SUV is an important vehicle under our Taiwan better plan. It also demonstrates that Ford Lio Ho is committed to bringing more world-class vehicles to our consumers in Taiwan,” said Fann. “I’m very proud that Ford Lio Ho is able to deliver excellent vehicles that meet the highest quality standards in Ford’s global manufacturing system, making it one of the four manufacturing bases for the all-new Kuga.”

To allow participants a hands-on opportunity with the smart SUV, a small scale field test drive session was arranged after the ceremony. Participants were able to try out an array of class-leading smart features on the all-new Ford Kuga, including the voice controlled SYNC system, Active Park Assist, and the hands-free tailgate.

Employees, many of whom came with their families, took great pride in introducing such an exciting new car to their families.

“The all-new Ford Kuga is truly a smart SUV and definitely one of the best cars we have ever built here,” said Wu Chu-tien, who has been working for the assembly plant for 23 years.

Building on the strong growth momentum, Ford Lio Ho has been expanding its product line-up to bring more exciting new vehicles to customers. In addition to the all-new Ford Kuga, Ford Lio Ho will bring the all-new Ford EcoSport to the market later this year.
